The press office of Giorgio Armani has announced that Emporio Armani for Men is now available at select Saks Fifth Avenue locations. Previously sold only in Emporio Armani stores, it is now available to shoppers at these Saks Fifth Avenue locations:

Green Town

A thought, a sensation, a green emotion. A relaxed mood that is in no way nostalgic for another time and another place, but is instead created by a projected vision of nature moving into the city, a synthesis of vistas and horizons where gardens clamber up buildings, generating panoramic views of a vertical landscape.

This world encompasses all of the facets of green, in a palette that merges into grey, darkens into black, picks up the brown of tree trunks and bare earth, and includes soft touches of white.  The colors and materials create the image of winter warmth: not just because of the layering and quilting, but also because of the actual quality of the wool. A touch of class for a young man who has no wish to exploit his own youth in order to shock.

Presented as a quest for and a return to a quality of life in which the background hubbub and frantic pace of modern living melt away, this eco-style of fashion revives the use of jersey and velvet that has been chosen for a new type of fleece. Even leather has been treated as a fabric, at times with the added impact of sleeves in chunky knit, with positively no techno or lazered motifs.

Unveiled today at London's Selfridges. Last month Posh Beckham unveiled hers at Macy's in NYC. The House of Armani bypasses recession by keeping steady and actually increasing in sales. Genius.

Hot guys on Genre Magazine! Published by the beautiful William Kapfer PhD of Travel&Leisure magazine and formerly Harper's Bazaar, Genre is packed with uber hot guys and naturally fab fashion. The two seems to always go hand-in-hand with each other.

Meilinda Soerjoko

Dirk Mai is an LA-based photographer on-the-rise in the fashion scene. And yes ladies, he is single. After completing his studies with an Associate Degree in Photography from Lancing, Michigan, Mai drove out west to pursue further studies at Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, CA. Less than a semester away from graduation, he decided that school was holding him back from work and costing $7,000/7 weeks instead of giving him the kind of real-life portfolio that is more beneficial for his line of work. Throughout this time he was already driving back and forth to L.A, doing numerous fashion photography all around Califonia.

Last year, whilst on a random walk on the streets of Hollywood taking pictures, Peter Gurnz, the C.E.O of Boxeight pulled up on his motorbike and Mai ended up taking pictures of him (so Hollywood). On the same day, he officially joined Boxeight Studios, to which he remains an active member. The fateful day had lead him to more work in fashion photography including covering for the Boxeight LA Fashion Week as well as others.

Recently he started posting his work on a self-titled blog that is gaining quite a bit of attention. Fans are now able to dive into the world of the photographer through his postings on assignments and heartfelt thoughts. My own personal favorite on his work is below, a perfect captured moment:

Cliche magazine's premiere edition, out on June 1st, 2009 will feature Dirk Mai's work on an editorial spread. It's easy to see why the magazine loves his work, he has done  photo shoots for much-hyped and coveted LA-based designers such as Skin.Graft Designs and Brian Lichtenberg. Andrea Casiraghi is the son of Princess Caroline of Monaco and the late Stefano Casiraghi. He is second in line after his mother to the Monegasque throne.
